Barcelona Olympic Sailing Week - Preview
BARCELONA, SPAIN-(12-3-2005) The edition of the 2005 PHÂRO Regatta-Barcelona Olympic Sailing Week will have the participation of the main sailing figures of the world. Around 200 crews from 20 different countries will take part in this Catalonian regatta.

On the 4th of March, the participation of four Olympic medal winners as well as seven Top Ten from the World Olympic Ranking is highlighted in the PHÂRO regatta.

Three silver medal winners in the Olympic games of Athenas: Natàlia Via Dufresne and Sandra Azón in 470 W, even though in the PHÂRO regatta, will separate and Via Dufrense will sail with Laia Tutzó. Meanwhile Azón will make a team with her sister Mònica and Graciela Pisonero in Yngling. The third medal winner in Athenas is Rafa Trujillo in Finn. The fourth medal winner that will participate will be Sabastien Godefroid from Belgium, silver medal in Atlanta 96´ in Finn and who at the moment sails in Tornado with Carolijn Brower from Holland.

The seven Top Ten in the PHÂRO Regatta are the Spanish Rafa Trujillo who is number 1 in the Finn World Ranking. The Italian Gabrio Zandona, number one in the 470 M world ranking with Francesco Della Torre. The Spanish Fernando Echávarri/ Antón Paz, number 5 in the Tornado World Ranking. Natàlia Via-Dufresne, number 6 in the 470 M world ranking, with Laia Tuzó. The Italian Pietro and Giafranco Sibello, number 7 in the 49er world ranking, the Spanish Mònica Azón and Graciela Pisonero, number 9 in the Yngling world ranking and the Italian Diego Negri, number 10 in the Laser world ranking.
